INDIAN RHINO (30″) (Limited Edition of 12)

A commanding study of one of the world’s most striking animals, sculpted with the weight, presence and almost prehistoric power that define the Indian rhinoceros. This 30-inch bronze is Nick Bibby’s expanded reimagining of a smaller earlier work - a return to a subject whose armour-like skin, deep folds and expressive character offer endless sculptural potential.

At this larger scale, every ridge, plate and contour of the rhino’s hide becomes a landscape of its own. Nick leans into the animal’s natural geometry: the heavy, domed shoulders, the thick rolls of skin, and the distinctive textures that make the Indian rhino so uniquely sculptural. The increased size allowed him to push further into those details, capturing the quiet intelligence and grounded strength of the species with even greater depth and clarity.

The result is a powerful, tactile bronze that balances realism with artistry - a celebration of an extraordinary creature and the craftsmanship required to honour it. A centrepiece with genuine presence, rooted in Nick’s fascination with form, texture and the timeless appeal of the world’s great animals.
