Srini Gandra is a British-based automotive sculptor and designer whose work celebrates some of the world's most iconic cars through beautifully crafted, contemporary forms. With nearly 15 years of experience in high-end automotive design, including work with Bentley Motors, he brings an exceptional understanding of proportion, movement and surface to his art. Through his creative studio, Speed Atelier, Srini transforms legendary automobiles into sculptural pieces that capture their character, history and enduring appeal.
His fascination lies in the cars that have defined generations, from the sweeping curves of the Ferrari 250 GTO and Lamborghini Miura to the unmistakable silhouette of the Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing. Rather than simply reproducing these machines, Srini strips away unnecessary detail to reveal the purity of their design. Each sculpture becomes a study of the lines, proportions and visual identity that made the original automobile so special.
His process brings together advanced technology and traditional craftsmanship. Beginning with detailed research and digital modelling, Srini develops each form through 3D printing before moving into a painstaking process of hand-shaping, sanding and refinement. Working with materials including resin and wood, he carefully perfects every surface before applying high-quality automotive paint, often in colours selected by the collector.
Alongside his classic automotive sculptures, Srini explores the world of Formula 1, creating works inspired by the extraordinary engineering and racing heritage of the sport. Selected pieces are produced in strictly limited editions, including commemorative designs that celebrate significant moments in automotive history.
