Je ne voulais pas qu'elle soit réaliste, mais plutôt conceptuelle. Le fait d'utiliser de la gaze et du plâtre pour construire la sculpture a vraiment aidé. Ils sont à peine visibles à l'œil humain, mais c'est un spectacle magique lorsqu'on les aperçoit, ne serait-ce que pour une seconde. Ils courent vite, surtout pour échapper aux prédateurs, et sont connus pour atteindre des vitesses d'environ 72 km\/h. Cela en fait le mammifère sauvage le plus rapide du Royaume-Uni. Je l'ai également voulue absolument immense afin de créer une pièce maîtresse pour le jardin. Les oreilles sont exagérées, tout comme les longues pattes et les grosses pattes arrière. Le mouvement du corps est accentué par la façon dont j'ai superposé la gaze et le plâtre sur l'armature métallique pour créer des traits gestuels puissants. Je l'ai déplacée dans un van pour chevaux et divers membres de la sculpture du lièvre se sont effrités sous la pression. Mais tout a été réparé à la fonderie ! Bien que j'aie fait fondre la sculpture du lièvre avec une patine bleu électrique, vous pouvez opter pour quelque chose de plus traditionnel comme le bronze de fonderie. Ou peut-être préférez-vous une couleur de votre choix !
