INFINITY (Limitierte Auflage von 19)

Anknüpfend an Entwürfe, die erstmals mit der Crescent-Skulptur begannen, war das Infinity-Design ein weiteres Experiment mit der Schlichtheit der Form und der Frage, wie minimalistisch eine Skulptur sein kann, um dennoch eine hohe ästhetische Präsenz zu bewahren.

Wie bei einem Großteil meiner Arbeiten ist Infinity stark von den Werken von Hepworth und Gabo beeinflusst und inspiriert, deren großes Können es schaffte, wahrhaft schöne Formen zu erschaffen, die im Grunde sehr minimalistisch und schlicht waren, aber gleichzeitig ein erstaunliches Maß an Schönheit und Präsenz ausstrahlten.

Ich wollte diese Qualität erforschen und gespannten Draht mit einer sehr minimalistischen, geschwungenen Metallform kombinieren, um zu sehen, ob die resultierende Skulptur die gleiche Art von ästhetischer Anziehungskraft und Präsenz erreichen könnte. Ich war mit dem Ergebnis äußerst zufrieden und bin der Meinung, dass die kombinierten Materialien und die Art und Weise ihrer Anwendung perfekt harmonierten.
