MUTTER (Limitierte Auflage von 8)

Ich war inspiriert, eine weibliche Figur aus diesem Holz zu schnitzen, die stark und in den Himmel blickend dargestellt ist und das Sonnenlicht in sich aufsaugt, ähnlich wie der Baum, aus dem sie entstand. Das Kind war nicht in meinem ursprünglichen Entwurf enthalten, entwickelte sich aber, während ich das Holz schnitzte, und erschien passend, um Gedanken an die nächste Generation zu wecken.

Die hervorgehobenen Jahresringe des Baumes zeigen uns die vergangenen Lebensjahre. Ich wollte, dass die Skulptur und der Name offen für Interpretationen bleiben; manche sehen zum Beispiel Mutterschaft, andere sehen Mutter Natur.

Mutter: Ursprünglich in Holz geschnitzt, handelt es sich hierbei um eine limitierte Auflage im Kaltgussverfahren, die von einer Form des Originals abgenommen wurde.
