VOYAGEUR ANCESTRAL (Unique)

La tortue de Kemp est la plus petite et la plus menacée des tortues marines au monde, avec moins de 9 000 individus supposés vivre à l'état sauvage aujourd'hui. Vivant dans les eaux chaudes du golfe du Mexique, ces tortues majestueuses sont rarement aperçues, sauf lorsqu'elles viennent pondre leurs œufs sur les plages en groupes massifs. Ce comportement de nidification est appelé « arribada », où jusqu'à 100 œufs peuvent être pondus dans un seul nid. 
Intitulée « Voyageur ancestral », cette sculpture cherche à embrasser le voyage intemporel de la tortue marine. Faisant partie des créatures les plus anciennes de la planète et témoin d'innombrables changements dans les océans du monde, la tortue de Kemp parcourt de vastes distances à travers nos océans, revenant souvent sur les mêmes plages où elle est née.

La composition de cette œuvre est telle que la tortue semble glisser sans effort à travers l'océan, avec une lueur sereine dans le regard. La carapace est faite de chêne, capturant un sentiment de longévité, de sagesse et de résilience. En tant que matériau naturel, le chêne s'associe à la carapace d'une tortue marine de bien des manières : toutes deux ont vécu une vie entière, ce que l'on peut ressentir sur la sculpture.

Je suis ravi de pouvoir célébrer cette créature vraiment majestueuse sous une forme sculpturale. Cette pièce ajoutera une qualité intemporelle à n'importe quelle pièce ou collection.
