ESPRIT DE COMMUNAUTÉ : Étourneaux (Édition limitée à 12 exemplaires)

Cette installation extérieure unique transforme une maison de ville privée londonienne en un point de rencontre pour tout le quartier. Nées du désir de symboliser la communauté et l'identité locale, ces sculptures d'étourneaux servent de « sujet de conversation » subtil mais marquant pour les passants.

Pourquoi l'étourneau ?
Alors que de nombreux artistes se tournent vers des sujets exotiques, cette commande célèbre un oiseau anglais par excellence, souvent négligé. Les étourneaux sont les symboles ultimes de la cohésion sociale. Reconnus pour leur incroyable capacité de communication et leurs murmurations, ils représentent la force du nombre et le brouhaha vibrant de la vie urbaine. En mettant l'étourneau au premier plan, nous soulignons la beauté de la faune londonienne du quotidien.

J'ai veillé à ce qu'ils interagissent tous les uns avec les autres ainsi qu'avec le spectateur, et il y a un élément comique subtil dans certaines de leurs postures ou dans leur façon de chanter à tue-tête !
