ICARUS RISING (Édition limitée à 5 exemplaires)

Célébration monumentale de la liberté et de l'ambition, Icare s'élève (Icarus Rising) capture la figure de la mythologie grecque au sommet de sa joyeuse ascension. Cette sculpture en bronze de 5 mètres, pleine d'énergie et de mouvement, est actuellement exposée à Sculpture by the Lakes dans le Dorset.

Icare s'élève est une sculpture en bronze de 5 mètres de haut représentant le personnage de la mythologie grecque dans son moment le plus extatique : s'envolant vers le soleil, débordant d'une vigueur juvénile et d'une énergie sans bornes. L'œuvre symbolise la quête ultime de liberté et d'ambition, capturant la joie et la détermination d'Icare alors qu'il aspire à la grandeur avant sa chute inévitable. La sculpture est vibrante de mouvement, chaque muscle tendu tandis qu'il s'élance vers le ciel, incarnant la force, l'exaltation et l'émerveillement.

Icare s'élève est ma plus grande œuvre à ce jour. Il a fallu 18 mois pour la réaliser, pour un achèvement en 2024. Son échelle monumentale permet aux spectateurs de marcher sous ses ailes, créant une expérience immersive qui les connecte au mythe et à son message intemporel sur l'aspiration humaine.

Cette pièce n'est pas seulement une représentation d'un mythe, mais une réflexion sur l'esprit humain — l'ambition, la passion et le risque qui accompagnent la poursuite de sommets extraordinaires. Mon espoir est qu'Icare s'élève encourage les spectateurs à embrasser leurs propres aspirations, en célébrant la beauté et la complexité du voyage, même lorsqu'il comporte un risque d'échec.
