« Running Wild » capture un moment d'instinct et d'urgence, inspiré par la vision familière des faisans traversant le paysage britannique, une espèce ancrée depuis longtemps dans la vie et la culture rurales. Représenté près du sol et en pleine foulée, l'oiseau réagit à une présence sentie plutôt que vue, figeant un instant de tension et de vigilance.
La sculpture est d'abord façonnée à la main, avant d'être moulée et coulée pour créer la structure de base. Chaque plume est ensuite découpée individuellement à la main dans du papier d'archivage, peinte, puis délicatement superposée sur la surface. Ce processus minutieux permet au plumage de conserver à la fois sa finesse et sa structure, brouillant les frontières entre sculpture et dessin.

En figeant cet instant, Running Wild invite le spectateur à regarder au-delà de la familiarité et à s'interroger sur les décisions instinctives qui façonnent la vie à la campagne, là où tradition, vie sauvage et survie coexistent.
