REGALIA : CACATOÈS FUNÈBRE (Édition limitée à 24 exemplaires)

« Regalia » explore la cérémonie, la présence et la performance à travers l'extraordinaire crête du cacatoès funèbre de Latham. Dressé comme une coiffe cérémonielle, l'oiseau occupe un moment d'autorité posée. La composition s'inspire du théâtre lyrique, où l'immobilité peut être aussi imposante que le mouvement, et où la forme, la posture et la silhouette véhiculent la puissance sans spectacle.

L'œuvre est sculptée à la main dans l'argile, qui est ensuite moulée et coulée pour créer la forme sous-jacente. Par-dessus, chaque plume est découpée et peinte individuellement à la main dans du papier d'archivage, puis superposée, ce qui permet d'obtenir une texture et une délicatesse impossibles à obtenir par le seul moulage.

Cette sculpture capture la confiance territoriale et l'élégance royale de l'oiseau, la poitrine fièrement levée, les épaules fixées, et sa magnifique couronne de plumes déployée comme une coiffe digne d'une scène, imposant le respect par son équilibre théâtral.
