Dawn Fincham builds strange and brilliant worlds from fragments of the past. Inspired by everything from Renaissance portraiture to charity shop finds, her work layers digital collage with hand-finished detail - blending old engravings, stock photography, and her own painted interventions into vivid, surreal compositions.
Her characters have attitude - chosen instinctively, like people you’d want to chat to in the pub. Printed onto canvas and worked into with acrylics, varnishes, inks, and glitter, each piece evolves as she creates it, often shifting form entirely. The result: a universe that’s bold, witty, and entirely her own.
