Quick Overview

Who am I buying from? You’re buying directly from the artist. Artisan Collective facilitates the transaction, but the agreement is between you and the maker.

Do you hold stock or manage shipping? No - we don’t hold stock or handle fulfilment. Every piece is shipped by the artist from their studio or approved location.

Whose terms apply? Each artist sets their own terms. These are honoured in full and linked at the bottom of their profile.

What happens if something goes wrong? We’re here to support communication, but all returns, delays, or disputes are handled in line with the artist’s terms.

Are prices final and honest? Yes. Pricing is set by the artist, with no artificial markups. Delivery costs are quoted fairly and transparently.

1. Privacy Policy

Artisan Collective is committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data with transparency and care.

We do not sell or trade your data. Limited personal information is shared only with the relevant artist to complete your order. All artists working with us agree to uphold privacy standards that reflect ours.

2. Delivery & Fulfilment Policy

All pieces are dispatched directly from the artist’s studio or their approved fulfilment partner. Artisan Collective does not hold stock, ensuring authenticity and a direct connection between maker and collector.

3. Pricing & VAT Policy

All pricing is set directly by the artist and presented transparently.

Important Notes

  • Prices are determined solely by each artist
  • Delivery costs are quoted separately
  • Artisan Collective is not VAT registered and does not charge VAT on our facilitation services
  • If an artist is VAT registered, their prices will include VAT (clearly shown at checkout)

4. Returns, Exchanges & Refunds

Due to the bespoke and original nature of the works, returns are assessed on a case-by-case basis and guided by each artist’s individual return policy.

Our Position

  • Returns are accepted only in cases of damage, defect, or administrative error

Must be reported within 7 days of receipt, with photographic evidence

  • Returns must be pre-approved and sent directly to the artist
  • Refunds are processed once the returned piece is safely received and inspected
  • Each artist’s own return terms are available via their profile page

5. Artist-Specific Terms

Artisan Collective operates using 'back-to-back agreements' with each artist, meaning that their terms govern the sale of their work. We act as a transparent facilitator between buyer and artist.

6. Our Role & Platform Responsibility

Artisan Collective is not a conventional sales platform. We operate as a curated, invite-only service that facilitates connections between collectors and independent British artisans.

Our responsibilities include:

  • Processing payments and supporting clear communication between buyers and artists.
  • Providing an additional sales and visibility channel for participating artists

  • Generating press, media, and promotional opportunities that support the artists individually and collectively

Facilitating partnerships and collaborative opportunities that benefit the wider Collective

Artisan Collective does not hold stock or manage shipping logistics. Fulfilment and delivery of artworks remain the responsibility of each individual artist.

This structure allows us to maintain the independence of every maker while offering buyers a consistent and transparent point of access to exceptional work.

  • Artist Ownership: All works remain the intellectual property of their creators. Artisan Collective does not claim ownership, only the right to represent.
  • Usage Restrictions: You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or adapt any part of this site without written permission from the artist or Artisan Collective.
  • Buying a Piece: Purchasing a work does not grant reproduction or commercial rights unless explicitly agreed in writing.
  • Image Presentation: Certain artworks may be presented within digitally rendered or AI-generated interior or exterior backgrounds. These backgrounds are used solely to illustrate context and do not modify, enhance or alter the artwork itself. Scale and proportion within such images may vary from actual dimensions. Please refer to the stated measurements for precise sizing.

    9. Fallback Terms

    Where an individual artist has not published their own Terms & Conditions, Artisan Collective applies a standard set of fallback terms. These are designed to ensure a fair, consistent experience for both the buyer and the artist, while reflecting the bespoke nature of the works involved.

    Key points include:

    • Production & Dispatch: Timelines vary depending on the artist’s process, materials, and whether the work is made-to-order or part of a limited edition. Expected timeframes will be shared at the point of enquiry or purchase, with updates provided as needed.

    • Delivery: The artist is responsible for packaging and dispatch. Delivery costs are quoted individually, and tracking is provided where available.

    • Returns & Refunds: Returns are only accepted in cases of damage or administrative error, reported within 7 days. All return decisions rest with the artist, and Artisan Collective supports communication throughout the process. Refunds, where agreed, are issued once the returned piece is received and assessed.

    • Pricing: Set directly by the artist and shown transparently. Delivery charges are quoted separately.

    • Ownership & Use: Ownership transfers on confirmed delivery. Purchase does not include reproduction or commercial rights without written permission from the artist.
