Helena Safari
Embroidery & Paint | Pop Culture & Roots | Curator & Creator
Helena Safari (Art by Safari) is a multi-disciplinary artist based in Kent whose vibrant works blend embroidery and paint into playful yet deeply personal narratives. Drawing on pop culture imagery and her own family roots, she transforms canvas into spaces charged with colour, curiosity, and cultural memory.
Beyond her own creations, Helena brings the art world to her community - curating gallery events, launches, and exhibitions with a thoughtful, welcoming flair. She spearheaded ‘Calm in Chaos’ at Brick Lane Gallery, curated ‘Technicolor Dreams’ in London, and presented ‘Olympians’ at Citadel Fine Art in New York - all under her Art by Safari banner.
Her work and curatorial voice are now gaining wider recognition. She was a finalist for the Creative Business Award 2025 in Kent, and her signature embroidery-painterly pieces continue to captivate across solo and group shows both in the UK and internationally.
Whether threading a narrative through needle and paint or shaping a gallery’s creative energy, Helena Safari weaves connection, joy, and meaning into everything she touches - standing as both creator and curator in vibrant harmony.
