Jane Shaw
Bronze Sculpture | Animal Forms | Expressive, Gestural, Alive
Jane Shaw sculpts with instinct and immediacy, capturing the raw spirit of animals in motion. From wild stags and hares to loyal hounds and horses mid-gallop, her bronzes are built to be felt as much as seen - full of gesture, energy, and emotional truth.
Working from her Dorset studio and often sculpting directly from life, Jane embraces imperfection in favour of presence. “It’s not about perfection – it’s about capturing something real,” she says. Her marks remain visible in the final cast, allowing the viewer to feel the hand of the artist and the moment of creation itself.
Collectors don’t just buy Jane’s work - they often become part of it. From initial sketches to wax modelling, casting, and final patina, Jane invites clients into the process. Whether commissioning a personal piece or selecting from her limited editions, the result is always deeply personal and made to last.
Her sculptures are available in both traditional foundry-cast bronze and bronze resin. Bronze, created through the lost-wax process, offers a rich, enduring patina and substantial weight - made to age beautifully and last for generations. Bronze resin provides a more accessible option, ideal for larger or outdoor works. Both are finished to Jane’s exacting standards, with the choice guided by scale, setting, and budget.
