Martin Cash
Stone Sculpture | Geometry & Grace | Stillness in Motion
Martin Cash is a British sculptor based in the Cotswolds, creating quietly powerful works in stone that invite reflection and stillness. Working with British limestone, marble and slate, he shapes each piece entirely by hand, exploring how weight, light and surface can express emotion as much as form.
Self-taught and deeply connected to his material, Martin built his understanding of stone through years of hands-on practice rather than formal training. That instinctive approach gives his sculptures their balance and calm authority - pieces that feel discovered rather than designed.
Inspired by the natural rhythm of the landscape, his work moves between geometry and gesture. Sculptures such as Chasing the Curve reflect his ongoing pursuit of perfect proportion and flow, where form becomes movement and movement becomes meditation.
Martin’s work has been exhibited widely, including at National Trust Avebury, the Chelsea and Kingham Lodge Exhibitions, Altered States, Magdalen College Oxford and the Burford Garden Gallery. His sculptures are held in private collections throughout the UK and internationally.
Each Martin Cash sculpture celebrates craftsmanship, patience, and the quiet poetry of stone - works that invite stillness and reward attention.
