Nick Bibby
Bronze & Silver Sculpture | Wild Realism & Myth | Power in Motion
Nick Bibby is a sculptor whose figurative work - across wildlife, human, and mythological subjects - captures life in motion with fluid energy and jewel-like precision. His pieces feel both vivid and timeless, born from a love of form, anatomy, and the stories embedded in creatures and legend.
Largely self-taught and driven by a passion for nature and anatomy, Nick begins each sculpture from a three-dimensional vision rather than a drawing. From a carefully built armature, he sculpts with wax or clay, adjusting detail, pose, and expression until it embodies his ideal of visual equilibrium and emotional clarity.
His work has wide reach and impact - from a suite of scientifically accurate bronzes of extinct Mauritian wildlife displayed at the Ashmolean Museum and Ile aux Aigrettes, to an imposing life-size Kodiak bear - Indomitable - commissioned by Brown University, now standing guard in Providence.
Nick’s limited editions - cast in bronze or hallmarked silver by Pangolin Editions - range from delicate bird studies to dragons, heroic torsos, and monumental beasts. All are executed with an unwavering commitment to quality, whether for private collectors, public commissions, or galleries across the world.
Every Nick Bibby sculpture invites the viewer into its world - not only as a likeness, but as an encounter with vitality, myth, and the mastery of form - sculpture that looks alive in stillness and lingers long after you’ve turned away.
