Nina Noakes paints the landscape not as it looks, but as it feels. Her work is rooted in place - often wild, often still - and captures the quiet strength found in nature’s shifting light, weather, and form. There’s a calmness in her paintings, but also a quiet resilience, drawn from years of close observation.

Working in oil, she builds each piece slowly, layering tone and colour to create a soft, glowing presence that holds the eye. Her focus is on beauty born from contrast - from darkness as much as light - and the connection we feel to the land through memory, mood, and movement.

Born in Cumbria and now painting full time in Norfolk, Nina’s work is about more than landscape. It’s about what endures - in nature, and in us.
