Richard Slee creates distinctive one-off sculptures that blend imagination with bold physicality. Working with materials such as resin, wood, metal, acrylic and polypropylene, each piece is a standalone expression - rooted not in sketches or studies, but in an internal vision that guides him through the making process. He doesn’t design on paper - he sees it in his head, and builds from there.
Richard’s sculptures strike a balance between geometric order and spontaneous energy. Forms often feel futuristic, architectural or symbolic - offering the viewer multiple layers of interpretation while retaining a clean, immediate visual impact. Whether angular or fluid, large-scale or compact, his works speak with presence.
Based in the UK, Richard produces only one of each piece. This commitment to originality gives every sculpture a unique voice - never repeated, never mass-produced.
Richard Slee’s works have featured in a range of exhibitions across the UK, but his focus remains on the making: exploring structure, surface, and intuition to bring abstract concepts into solid form. Each sculpture is a resolved idea - visualised in the mind, realised with craft, and made to last.
