Roberta Mason
Hot Glass Sculpture | Marine-Inspired | Fluid - Thoughtful - Sustainable
Rooted in a love of the ocean and a fascination with natural forms, Roberta Mason creates sculptural glass works that capture movement, memory and the quiet strangeness of the underwater world. Inspired by diving experiences and the language of bubbles, her pieces explore the connection between nature, emotion and environmental responsibility.
Her process combines traditional hot glass techniques with sustainable methods and repurposed materials – allowing for work that feels both precise and organic. Trained at the Royal College of Art with a background in science and technology, she brings both sensitivity and structure to each piece.
Now held in private collections around the world – as well as in the public glass collection at The John & Mable Ringling Museum of Art in Florida – her work reflects a simple truth: the more closely we observe nature, the more deeply we value it.
