Sandra Busby brings everyday objects to life through the quiet drama of light, reflection and detail. A still life painter working primarily in oils, her work balances technical precision with a sense of play – often exploring the way glass, liquid and surface interact in unexpected and evocative ways.
Originally self-taught after stepping away from the constraints of formal art school, Sandra found her own rhythm through traditional oil techniques – drawing inspiration from both classic still life and modern realism. Whether it’s a candlelit bottle, a sugar-dusted pastry or a ripple of glass, her compositions invite the viewer to slow down and appreciate the beauty in the present moment.
Her paintings now hang in private collections across the world – and in 2022, her work was exhibited at the Mall Galleries Summer Exhibition. Humble objects, painted with depth and intent – that’s where Sandra’s work quietly shines.
