Steve Gallagher is a Sussex-based fine art photographer whose work captures the stillness of nature in quiet, highly detailed compositions. Focusing on intricate floral portraits and shifting coastal seascapes, his images invite a moment of pause – a chance to observe delicacy, drama and form with fresh clarity.
Originally from the American Midwest, Steve trained at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago before building a successful creative career across editorial fashion and digital design. Since relocating to the UK in 2019, the Sussex landscape has become his primary subject – its changing light, shoreline and seasonal rhythm shaping a body of work that balances technical precision with calm, observational depth.
In recent years, he has begun exploring new formats – from lenticular prints to works on aluminium and glass – further refining his ability to capture fleeting moments in new and tactile ways. Steve’s work is held in private collections in the UK, US and Australia, and continues to evolve across exhibitions in London, New York, Miami and beyond.
