CHILDREN OF NATURE (Limited Edition)

Children of Nature is a large-scale collaborative sculptural installation by Eve Shepherd MRSS SPS, bringing together around 100 individually created porcelain figures arranged in the formation of a ceramic fairy ring.

Each figure combines elements of the human, animal, plant and fungal worlds, reflecting Eve's exploration of our connection with nature and the similarities that exist across living forms. Individual characters take on their own identity, with organic textures, figurative details and unexpected natural forms creating a community of hybrid beings.

Arranged within a circle of moss and natural materials, the installation creates a space that viewers are encouraged to enter rather than simply observe. The circular formation brings the individual sculptures together as one work, exploring ideas of connection, community and our place within the natural world.

Children of Nature is also a continually evolving artwork. Through workshops accompanying the installation, participants are invited to create their own mushroom-inspired figure in clay, with selected works becoming part of future installations and allowing the community surrounding the piece to continue to grow.
