SLOWING DOWN TIME (Original)

The hourglass shape represents the measurement of the passage of time, though an hourglass is perfectly symmetrical, the outline is wavy since during meditation it feels like time bends and slows down. The mosaics pieces represent thoughts, memories, concepts, stories. And the expansive moon-like terrain represents expansiveness once the hourglass bends in a timeless space of possibility. The calm that comes from meditating is a deep and peaceful sort of calm. For a minute, or maybe some hours, thoughts slow down, the mind stops racing, and you experience a deep sense of calm. Inside that calm, there is bliss.
