Peter Li
Architectural Photography | Panoramas of Light | Time & Symmetry
Peter Li is a London-based architectural photographer whose work elegantly unfolds the space between realism and fantasy. His series Omniscience reveals cathedrals not in a single glance, but through panoramic compositions stitched together with extraordinary precision-built from dozens of images to render a vision no eye could capture alone. Each image - invites the viewer to pause, discover hidden symmetry, and see these medieval spaces anew -as vessels of light, structure, and stillness.
A self-taught lensman whose journey began in 2013 with a simple DSLR, Peter’s early fascination evolved into meditative craft. Inspired by gaming, painting, and cinema, he brings an unexpected creative crossover to architecture - balancing meticulous realism with visual poetry. His panorama method allows a cathedral’s geometry to unfold like a tapestry, offering a moment both grounded and transcendent.
His work has received international acclaim, winning the Architecture Category at the Epson International Pano Awards in both 2018 and 2022, and earning the title of “Architecture Photographer of the Year” from the International Photography Awards in 2020. In 2023, Nikon Europe named him one of their official creators - a recognition of his growing influence in the world of fine art photography.
Through Peter Li's lens, cathedrals become more than buildings; they become living landscapes of light and lineage, inviting us to move beyond sight and pause inside their eternal presence.
