TOKYO SUMMER STORM #3 (Limited Edition of 5)

These were captured during the Japanese rainy season as storms varied in ferocity, from mild to severe driving rain. The imagery goes someway in reflecting the stoicism of the Japanese.

City Scans is an ongoing series examining the flow of transport and commuting in global cities like Tokyo, Hong Kong, London, Istanbul and Vienna. Using reconstructed high-speed video scans, I capture the movement of people through time and space -revealing the rhythm and pulse of each city. The work explores the blurred boundary between the digital and physical, where commuters become part of the system -absorbed into its data, pace and machinery.
