AUTUMN GLORY (Original)

In Autumn Glory, Alison Holt captures the rich, immersive depth of an autumn avenue, where trees arch overhead and the path ahead narrows into shadow and light. Warm rusts, ochres and deep browns dominate the canopy, their movement suggested through flowing, directional stitch that echoes falling leaves and shifting air.

The cooler tones of the road and distant opening create contrast and quiet momentum, drawing the eye forward through the composition. Rather than marking a specific place, the work holds a seasonal passage – a moment of abundance and transition, where colour, texture and light combine to evoke both stillness and gentle progression.
