DOORKINS (Limited Edition of 7)
Doorkins was Southwark Cathedral’s beloved feline resident, affectionately known as the Magnificat. She was found as a kitten at the cathedral doorstep in 2008. Locals adored her. It wasn’t unusual to see Doorkins strolling in front of the altar during a service, curled up in the Choir stalls, or sunbathing in the churchyard. She became a true icon of the Cathedral. She passed peacefully in 2020, in the arms of a Cathedral verger who had cared for her during her retirement.
This image is dedicated to Doorkins, capturing a quiet moment between Doorkins and the sacred space she called home.
