THOTH (Limited Edition of 6)

Thoth is a monumental bronze sculpture by Simon Gudgeon inspired by the Egyptian god of the moon, wisdom and magic. Drawing influence from the elegant form of the ibis, the sculpture combines sweeping curves and simplified organic forms to create a powerful sense of balance, stillness and presence.

The flowing silhouette and crescent-like forms give the piece a strong architectural quality, while the smooth bronze patina enhances the changing movement of light across the surface throughout the day. Both abstract and recognisable, Thoth carries a calm and timeless character that sits naturally within landscaped gardens, estates and contemporary architectural environments.

Simon describes the sculpture as being inspired by the ibis-headed Egyptian deity Thoth, whose crescent-shaped beak connects the bird to the form of the new moon - a symbol linked to time, rhythm and the cycles of nature.
