EMBRACE (Limited Edition of 5)

Embrace is a monumental bronze sculpture by Simon Gudgeon, inspired by the natural world and derived from the wing form and body shape of Thoth. One of the artist’s first purely abstract works, the sculpture explores connection, balance and interaction through a beautifully simplified contemporary form.

The sweeping curved structures rise upwards before meeting at a delicate point above the viewer, creating a powerful sense of openness, scale and enclosure simultaneously. Designed to be experienced from every angle, Embrace invites people not only to walk around the sculpture, but to move through it and engage directly with the space created within the form itself.

The rich bronze patina enhances the flowing surfaces and changing tones across the sculpture, while shifting light and shadow continually alter its appearance throughout the day. Simon also describes an acoustic quality within the piece, with surrounding sounds reflecting softly from the internal surfaces to create an additional sensory dimension.

Designed for significant landscaped gardens, estates and architectural environments, Embrace combines monumental scale with elegance, simplicity and calm sculptural presence.
