Aulisca Series 2 is made by fusing delicate lines of glass multiple times, to achieve a precise symmetrical design. Two near identical circles are created to make each half of the final piece.

These are then slumped in gradual stages to create the desired shape and form. Both pieces are sandblasted front and back, leaving a glimmer of shine on the inside edges. 

The two halves are sewn together, the attachment process adding details with the subtly contrasting thread to the twenty meeting points and a visually striking structural column through the centre.
