How I wish you could have seen our faces when my husband and I sunk our teeth into what looked like exquisite, sumptuously sweet cupcakes. Oh, the disappointment!
We had bought them from a rather expensive and very posh bakery in London, only to realise when we took a bite, that they were VEGAN!
What looked sweet, creamy and delicious, turned out to be disappointingly bland, rubbery and quite dry. Basically, all style and no substance!
And since this cupcake was wearing quite fancy ‘clothes,’ it invited the first title that came to my mind for this painting, ‘All Frills and No knickers!’
