CALADRIUS (One-Off)

In Roman mythology, the Caladrius was a snow-white bird said to heal the sick. It would land upon the afflicted, absorb their illness, and fly away restored - symbolising renewal and release. Often thought to represent Christ taking suffering upon himself, the bird became a powerful emblem of hope.

This sculpture carries that same resonance. A natural black mark appears in the stone on the right side of the chest - echoing the wound Christ received at the crucifixion - giving the piece a striking connection between myth, material, and meaning.
