Few symbols in the automotive world are as instantly recognisable as Ferrari’s Cavallino Rampante. It stands for performance, racing heritage and the kind of design that has made Ferrari one of the most admired marques in the world.

In Cavallino Carbon, Vince Edmunds gives this iconic emblem his own distinctive treatment, recreating the famous prancing horse in glue chipped glass and genuine 24-carat gold leaf, set against a carbon fibre background. The result brings together the elegance of traditional hand craftsmanship with the modern materials so closely associated with high-performance engineering.

Each artwork is individually handcrafted to order. Vince carries out the full process himself, from preparing the glass and creating the design through to sandblasting, glue chipping, gilding, painting, polishing and final assembly. Because the glue-chipping process develops naturally and cannot be repeated exactly, every piece has its own unique surface character, making each finished work genuinely one of a kind.

The use of carbon fibre behind the gilded horse gives the piece a strong contemporary feel while also nodding to Ferrari’s motorsport pedigree and the advanced materials used throughout its racing and road cars. Presented in a satin black frame with a gold sight line, the work has real presence and is designed to appeal to collectors of both fine art and automotive design.

Each piece is supplied with an individually engraved brass nameplate fixed to the reverse, detailing the title, creation date and collection number. It also comes with a certificate of authenticity, insurance valuation, gold leaf certification and, where applicable, material traceability documentation.
