LOVE AND HOPE (Limited Edition x 15)

A Pair of Horses Heads

This is an equestrian horse sculpture representing  love and hope.  Horses have a sensitive way of communicating between one another and you can feel their spirit.  From living next to a livery, where the valley is full of horses, we are surrounded by their presence.  It’s lovely to observe them from afar, and observe their companionship for one another.

In this bronze horse sculpture, I wanted to express optimism about the future, especially for the next generation. This equestrian bronze sculpture named: “Love and Hope,” shows two horses with just three legs between them.  They share the middle leg and move in tandem. Sensitively inclining their heads towards each other, the ears of both were made disproportionally bigger, symbolising their method of communication.  Their soft eyes give out messages of love and kindness.  I wanted to capture the support and bond between two horses.

I did this bronze sculpture during lock down, after I had completed my other work of an isolated horse in order for us to all focus on the future and what is important – hence love and hope!
