Few names in Formula One are as closely associated with innovation and engineering as McLaren. Since pioneering the use of carbon fibre chassis technology in the early 1980s, the British marque has helped transform motorsport, bringing the same engineering expertise to its celebrated road cars.

With World Champions including Emerson Fittipaldi, James Hunt, Niki Lauda, Alain Prost, Ayrton Senna, Mika Häkkinen and Lewis Hamilton, McLaren has built an extraordinary racing history. Its dominance in 1988, winning 15 of the season's 16 Grands Prix, remains one of Formula One's most celebrated achievements.

In McLaren Carbon, Vince Edmunds pays tribute to this engineering heritage by recreating the iconic McLaren emblem in glue-chipped glass and genuine 24-carat gold leaf, set against a background of real carbon fibre.
Each artwork is individually handcrafted to order using 4mm float glass backed with a 1mm sheet of carbon fibre. The glue-chipping process creates naturally occurring patterns that cannot be precisely controlled or repeated, ensuring every finished artwork has its own distinctive character.

Presented in a satin black frame with a gold sight line, each piece includes an individually engraved brass nameplate recording its title, creation date and collection number. A certificate of authenticity, insurance valuation, gold leaf certification and carbon fibre manufacturer's data sheet are also supplied, providing full material traceability.
