Riven is a unique wall piece comprising two separate panels of glass. When hung close together the intricate webs form a central orb between the panels - the two halves become whole, it's strands undulating gently, creating movement and depth.

Each of the two panels are made from three pieces of glass. Over several firings the outer of these are fused and the lace semicircles subsequently slumped to create the raised design.

After completing the extensive coldwork, the outer surfaces are sandblasted to leave a sumptuous satin finish, a contrast to the shiny black surface of the central panel which glints through the web.
