THE GUARDIAN (One-Off)

This sculpture began as a kneeling figure but soon revealed a deeper, more timeless presence. It speaks of transformation - of life emerging from death, struggle giving way to strength. The skull at his feet anchors the work as a reminder of mortality, yet also of renewal.

Rather than battle or crusade, the figure represents resilience and hope. It symbolises our capacity to rise again, to embrace change, and to seek a different way forward. In turbulent times, it becomes a metaphor for rebirth and the enduring human spirit.
