TORR (One-Off)

This small sculpture, Torr, is the third in the Pileri series - a smaller, neater version with an evenly textured surface and lancet windows either side of the column.  

Inspired by castles, this is another serene form on the theme of war and peace.  I have focused again on silent havens to retreat into through the darkened archways.  This walnut wood is hard and has been finished with wax.  It has been seasoned for over 20 years in my studio.
