This hyperrealist artwork by Chris Klein captures the dramatic folds of a stage coat famously worn by Sir Brian May during his electrifying rooftop performance at Buckingham Palace for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee in 2002 - one of the most iconic moments in British rock history.
With privileged access to May’s personal costume archive, Chris honours the theatrical legacy of this moment and the suit’s legendary designer, Tim Goodchild, renowned for his work across theatre and film.
10% of the sale will be donated to the Save Me Trust, a wildlife sanctuary founded by Sir Brian May and Anne Brummer to protect British wildlife.
"Thank you so much Anne, Brian, and all the team for allowing me to paint these costumes." - Chris Klein
