There was a period when I shied away from using green in my paintings and avoided painting bottle-necks. Realising this, I decided, why not tackle them both at the same time? This decision led me to create a series of wine bottle artworks, and to my surprise, I now adore painting with green, not least because there is, surprisingly, very little ‘green’, in the colour green! I now also love painting wine bottles. The warm, reflections of ambient light, dancing across the glass can be mesmerising.
